I read about a man who designed a bright red and white-stripped box for an art exhibit several years ago in Washington, D.C. He called it “The Compliment Machine.” Whenever a person would walk past it, his “Compliment Machine” would express a compliment of some kind. Seemingly, the machine was able to speak compliments that every one could appreciate. This machine would say things like: “You are amazing!” “That color really looks good on you!” “It made my day seeing you!” “Thanks for all you do!” “Keep up the great work!” It was noticed that whenever people passed by “The Compliment Machine” they would smile and their faces would brighten a little. We could learn a lot from that machine I believe. It might be amazing to see what could happen if we were to become more like “compliment machines.” I remember something Mark Twain wrote once, “I can live for two months on one good compliment.” Something to think about in this time we are in right now. Everyone can use a little encouragement these days. Again, thank you for being such an encouragement to me. At some point we will able to gather again as the family of God. I pray that it won’t be long before we can gather again to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who went to the Cross to pay the price for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day! I pray on the day we gather again it will be filled with joyful encouragement to one another and praise to our Lord!! Perhaps we are moving a little closer to a “restart” of our activities. Nothing is for sure as to “when” and “how” just yet. But more than likely our “restart” will be in steps or phases. Please be praying that we will have that direction soon. Please pray for our weekly Live Stream Worship Service. Pray for lost souls to be saved. Again, if I can help you with anything at all, please give me a call.
